Due to the impending winter storm, Meadowlands Racetrack has cancelled live harness racing for Saturday, Feb. 8. The track remains open for simulcasting and sports betting at the FanDuel Sportsbook as does Winners Bayonne.
“Out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to cancel live racing for tonight,” said Jason Settlemoir, COO and GM of Meadowlands Racetrack. "We don’t want to put the horsemen and horses in jeopardy while traveling during the storm.”
Tonight’s qualifiers are also cancelled.
With simulcasting and sports wagering remaining open, bettors can get in all their big game wagers today.
The track opens at 8 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9 for sports betting. Limited seating remains for the Big Game Watch Party with Marc Malusis and Bart Scott. Ticket includes an all-you-can-eat buffet, soft drinks, Q&A with Scott, and giveaways.
