The initial payment deadline for eligibility to more than 157 stakes events at 14 different tracks, headlined by the $1 million USD Hambletonian at The Meadowlands on Aug. 3 and the $7 million USD Breeders Crown events on Oct. 25 and 26, is fast approaching.
Payments for all Hambletonian Society serviced stakes are due Thursday, Feb. 15 and must be postmarked by midnight on Friday, Feb. 16, per USTA Rule 12.02.
What's New?
The $50,000 USD (est.) The Bally’s Randy race for three-year-old colt and filly trotters and pacers. They will be raced on Friday, Nov. 22 at Harrah’s Hoosier Park in Anderson, Indiana.
What's Moved?
The two-year-old Tompkins-Geers, four races for all gaits and genders, has moved to Woodbine Mohawk Park from The Meadowlands and will be raced on Thursday June 27 and Friday, June 28.
The 41st Anniversary of the Breeders Crown
The Breeders Crown will be celebrating its 41st birthday at The Meadowlands on Oct. 25-26. The Crown continues to enjoy robust participation from all segments of the industry and the guaranteed purses for 2024 reflect that.

Win And You're In Races
A win in the Jim Doherty Memorial (two-year-old colt trot) or Peter Haughton Memorial (two-year-old filly trot) gives you Breeders Crown options for those same divisions.
The winner of the 2024 Hoosier Cup (Indiana-sired three-year-old pacers) at Harrah's Hoosier Park will receive an automatic nomination to the 2024 Jennas Beach Boy.

Stallion Restriction Condition Reminder
As a reminder, the Stallion Restriction Condition at The Meadowlands affects 2021 and 2022 foals. Please check The Meadowlands website for the full Stallion Restrictions applicable to the Cane Pace, Shady Daisy and Tompkins-Geers three-year-olds, as well as the Reynolds two-year-olds and three-year-old trotters but not the three-year-old pacers at Plainridge Racecourse and not the two-year-old Tompkins-Geers at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
Payment Schedule
The payment schedule dates are unchanged. Current racing conditions for the races serviced by the Hambletonian Society can be found on the organization's website at hambletonian.com under each specified race page or on the USTA.
In all cases only one cheque is ever necessary for each of the four payment periods, i.e., Feb. 15, March 15, April 15, May 15 or Aug. 15 (Yearling Supplement). As always, make sure to double check that all eligibility payments are made from month to month. Some races have one payment while others have multiple payments due over multiple months. Missing one of those payments will make your horse ineligible come the date of entry.
