Robert ‘Glen’ Tiffin Passes

Trot Insider has learned that Standardbred Canada member Robert ‘Glen’ Tiffin passed away peacefully on February 2 at the age of 84.

Glen, who was a trainer and driver, is survived by his children, Standardbred Canada Field Representative Lori McKelvie (Scott) of Milton, Ont. and Johnny Tiffin of Dresden, Ont.; and grandchildren Mark and Tamara. Glen was predeceased by his wife Marlene in 2010.

Glen absolutely loved racing and loved to talk to anyone about racing. He was a very familiar face at Dresden Raceway on Sundays, where he rarely missed a card.

There will be a private family service at a later date.

We send our condolences to Lori & Scott ,John and their families .Glen's passing removes a valued horseman who is one of the last of the "Old School" graduates . The number of people who date back to the "soft hat" era are a diminishing breed . He was a very nice man .
