World Champion To Alberta

World Champion Custard The Dragon p,2,1:52.2f; 3,1:48.1f ($777,817) will be available to breeders in Western Canada for the 2014 season.

Custard The Dragon, the super-fast son of Dragon Again out of the Jate Lobell mare Eternal Justice, was previously campaigned by the George Teague Jr. Stable.

At two, Custard The Dragon established a mark of 1:52.2, winning two Pennsylvania Sire Stakes and the Reynolds Memorial. In his four two-year-old starts he won three times and placed third in the other for earnings of $70,429.

At three he was a winner of the $500,000 Hoosier Cup, the $300,000 Hempt final, a Meadowlands Pace elimination and an elimination of the Adios.

In the Adios elimination, Custard The Dragon set a world record which was previously jointly held by Shadow Play and Dali. It was also an all aged track record at the Meadows. Custard The Dragon finished a strong second in the $500,000 Adios final and was third in the North America Cup consolation. He completed his three-year-old campaign 17-5-2-1 with earnings of $631,238. As a four-year-old he competed in many Open and Preferred events, defeating the likes of Won The West ($3.9 million), Hypnotic Blue Chip ($1.7 million) and One More Laugh ($2.6 million).

Custard The Dragon will stand at Moores Equine Clinic (south) near Okotoks for a fee of $1,250, with a multiple mare discount. A limited number of lifetime breeding shares are also available.
