On Friday (Feb. 26) the Registrar of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) approved the application made by The WFA Raceway Corporation to amend the post times of the 2021 race date schedule for The Raceway at the Western Fair District (Western Fair).
The post times for Western Fair have been amended as follows:
All race dates from March 2 to March 26, 2021 will now have a first post time of 6:30 p.m., changed from 5:50 p.m. and 4:50 p.m. The post time will be in effect until March 29 when post times will revert to 5:50 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and 4:50 p.m. on Fridays.
The change is due to unprecedented mild temperatures during this time of the year.
The application for amendment to the post times of the 2021 race date schedule was reviewed by Ontario Racing and the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Association and recommendations for approval of the changes were received from both organizations.
The approved changes to the 2021 race date schedule are also conditional upon approval by the Canadian Pari-Mutuel Agency. Please be advised that any aggrieved party has the right to appeal the Registrar’s decision to the Commission.
