A tricky Pick 5 sequence on Monday (February 23) at Pompano Park resulted in no winning tickets, leaving a $3,553 carryover into the Wednesday night card. Track officials have guaranteed the Wednesday night pool at $15,000.
The 50-cent Pick 5 is a nightly wager featured on Races 2 – 6.
The 50-cent Pick 4 continues to feature a $7,500 guaranteed pool on Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday evenings.
The 20-cent Jackpot Hi-Five had multiple winners once again on Monday, with the carryover now at $6,015 into the Wednesday night finale.
In order to win the entire jackpot, a fan must have the one ‘unique’ winning ticket. If there are multiple tickets out, half of the nightly pool is paid out to the winners, with the other half being added to the carryover.
The jackpot has been hit twice in the last two weeks, with one fan taking down over $146,000 on February 15 after spending $7.20, and a 20-cent ‘Quick Pick’ netting another patron nearly $6,600 on February 18.
Live racing at Pompano continues on with a four-night-per-week schedule. First post is 7:30 p.m. every Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday evening.
