Guest speakers from the industry covered a wide range of topics, including:

From The Sulky to Board Room – John Campbell
CPMA Regulatory Updates – Lydia Brooks
Starting – Mike Woebkenberg (Ohio)
Appeals, Urging, New Initiatives – Tom Miller (Senior Judge, AGCO)

Other topics included breakout sessions and officials’ roundtable discussions on a wide variety of topics, which generated much discussion and feedback. Additionally, there was a yearly film review which broke down different races from various tracks and jurisdictions.

Lastly, an annual award was presented to the Official of the Year, which is voted on by his/her peers. This year’s recipient was Harry Trenholme, an associate judge and starter at Truro Raceway. Trenholme’s dedication and focus on improved starts was recognized by his colleagues.

The APHRC would like to thank all that attended this year’s annual seminar, and would like to issue a special thanks to the guest speakers that took time out of their schedules and helped make this year a success.
