Meadowlands Statement On Cancellation

Meadowlands Racetrack has rescheduled the series events from its Saturday, February 21 card and issued a statement regarding the weather cancellation.

The three winter series finals (Charles Singer, Sonsam and Burning Point) as well as the two divisions of leg one of the Buddy Gilmour Series and the final of the $12,500 claimer mini series will all be raced as they were drawn with the same posts next Saturday, February 28. There is no re-entry needed for those races.

All overnight races will be redrawn and you must re-enter for those. The condition sheet for next weekend is available here.

On Sunday afternoon, Meadowlands also issued a statement to those owners, trainers, drivers and grooms that were affected by last night's cancellation.

"We apologize for the inconvenience of those that traveled to M1 last night for live racing. The weather forecast that we monitored all day indicated 1-3 inches of snow, followed by rising temperatures and turning to rain. Obviously that forecast was wrong. Our intention is always safety first and we appreciate the support of all that traveled to the track."
