Horse Racing Alberta has released the province’s 2017 Standardbred race date calendar, which features a total of 107 programs of live racing spread across Century Downs, Northlands Park and Enoch Park.
The race date calendar, which was announced via social media on Thursday morning (February 2), shows that Century Downs is scheduled to host 71 dates of live racing. Northlands Park will race a total of 34 dates this year, while Enoch Park has been granted a pair of live race dates. The calendar also indicates that the yearling sale has been scheduled for Sunday, September 10.
The calendar shows that Saturday racing will continue at Northlands in Edmonton until February 18, at which point live action will shift to Century Downs in the Calgary area on March 18.
Century Downs will play host to live racing until September 9. The action will then shift to Enoch the following weekend (September 16-17) for a brief two-card stint. Racing will then return to Northlands on September 22 and run right until New Year’s Eve.
