Alvey Halbgewachs Passes

Trot Insider has learned that Alvey John Halbgewachs, 74, passed away at Sunset Extendicare on Saturday, February 15 following a long and brave battle with cancer.

Halbgewachs was a big supporter, and a big part of harness racing in Saskatchewan. For many years, Halbgewachs served as president of the Saskatchewan Standardbred Horsemen’s Association and owned horses for decades, among some of his favourites was top open pacer Fulla Rader.

Funeral arrangements are pending, and more information will soon be available.
