Trot Insider has learned that Pearl Lester, standardbred owner and beloved wife of the late horseman John H. (Jack) Lester, passed away peacefully on February 17 with her family by her side
. She was 83 years old.
Dear mother of J.C. (Sandra), Dan (Sheila), Ruth Ann Schoonjans (John), Ellory (Gillian), Margie Shand (Wilbur), and Paul (Sherri) and their families.
Pearl and Jack successfully raced horses such as Mighty Lady L, Omahas Duke, Margies Girl, Atomos, Terrific Louise and many more.
Friends may call at the Forest Chapel of Denning Funeral Directors, 9 James St. South, Forest, Ontario on Monday February 20, 2012 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the Forest United Church on Tuesday morning, February 21 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery.
