Due to the extreme cold that has gripped the midwest United States, this week’s qualifying days at both Balmoral and Maywood Park have been changed.
The live racing dates will not be affected.
Balmoral Park will now host qualifiers on Sunday, February 22 at approximately 5:45 p.m. (central) instead of the usual qualifying date of Wednesday, February 18. Entries for Sunday’s qualifiers will remain open until 6 p.m. (central) on Saturday, February 21.
Maywood Park will host its qualifiers on Friday, February 20 instead of the usual date of Thursday, February 19. Entries will close as they normally do though which is on Wednesday, February 18 at 9:30 a.m. (central). Friday’s qualifiers will be contested prior to the start of the live racing card at approximately 6:30 p.m. (central).
The regular qualifying days of Wednesday (Balmoral) and Thursday (Maywood) will go back into effect the following week.
