Guy Cloutier Passes

Trot Insider has learned that former Hippodrome de Quebec race secretary Guy Cloutier, who spent more than 40 years in the Standardbred industry, has passed away at the age of 84.

Cloutier passed away last Wednesday (February 7) at the Hôtel-Dieu de Québec, a teaching hospital located in Quebec City.

Guy is the husband of the late Jeanne d'Arc Marcoux. He is survived by his brother Michel, his sister Monique (late Yvan Samson), his children Jacques (Jeri Wood) and Sylvie; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Elizabeth Marcoux (Jean-Paul Bourgeois), Hilda Poulin (late Georges Marcoux), Rita Paradis (late François Marcoux); as well as many nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Yvette Vézina and the late Gérard Cloutier; Guy was predeceased by his sister Denise (Maurice Demers) and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: late Thérèse Marcoux (Bruno Hébert), late Ludger Marcoux (Rena Chambers).

A visitation (1-3 p.m.) and funeral (3 p.m.) will take place on Saturday, February 24 at Coopérative funéraire des Deux Rives Centre funéraire de Charlesbourg 7335, boul. Henri-Bourassa, Québec, G1H 3 E5 (418-688-2411).
