Trot Insider has learned that longtime Standardbred breeder/owner Donald Intine, of Brantford, Ontario, recently passed away with his family by his side after a fight with cancer.

Intine’s favourite horse that he was connected to was Uptown Casino, a son of Camluck that won 18 races and banked over $181,000 in purses.

There are few details at this time, but Trot Insider was told that donations to the cancer society would be gratefully received.

Please join Standardbred Canada in offering condolences to the family and friends of Donald Intine.

I met the Intine brothers years ago when they first became involved with harness racing. I was always impressed with the enthusiasm and desire to do things right when it came to their horses. My condolences to the family on Don's passing, rest easy old friend.
