Standardbred Canada (SC) would like to remind all owners and horsepeople that 2023 eligibility fees must be paid prior to a horse making its first start in a race or a qualifier.
If the $75 eligibility fee is not paid prior to a horse making its first start (in a race or qualifier), the horse will be suspended after its first outing in 2023 and not reinstated until the fee is paid. Please note that if the fee remains unpaid, an invoice will be issued the following month, along with a processing fee of $16.30 plus HST.
Eligibility fees can be paid online via the SC website by clicking here or they can be paid to any Standardbred Canada racing services representative, or by contacting SC's racing services department at 905-858-3060 (ext. 285 or 251) or anyone in the member services department, or by faxing the form – which is available by clicking here – to 905-858-8047.
SC is continuing to provide a Late Start Eligibility Fee to members. For any horse entered to have its first start of the year after Nov. 30, the eligibility fee that is paid will be valid for 13 months until Dec. 31 of the following year.
