Pacing Stallions Wanted In N.J.

The Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association of New Jersey is looking for additional pacing stallions to stand stud in the Garden State.

"While our state is fortunate to have a strong selection of trotting stallions for 2021, our hope is to increase our representation on the pacing side," said the SBOANJ in a release issued Monday (Dec. 7).

The SBOANJ has developed the Home-Grown Pace for pacing foals in an attempt to increase racing opportunities for pacers. The offspring from any new pacing stallions in New Jersey in 2021, will have the opportunity to race in this program in addition to the revitalized NJ Sire Stakes.

Those interested in standing a pacing stallion in New Jersey should direct inquiries to the SBOANJ office at 732.462.2357.

The deadline for registering a new stallion for the 2021 breeding season is February 15, 2021.
