The Indiana Horse Racing Commission approved Harrah’s Hoosier Park’s 2019 racing dates during their regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday (Dec. 5).
Offering 160 days of live harness racing, the 2019 racing season will be conducted Friday, March 29 through Saturday, Nov. 9. With a daily post time of 6:30 p.m., Harrah’s Hoosier Park’s 26th season of live harness racing will follow a Tuesday-through-Saturday schedule.
Live racing at Hoosier Park Racing & Casino will kick off with Friday and Saturday cards the opening week and return on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening the second week before resuming a Tuesday-through-Saturday schedule throughout the remainder of the season.
“Fresh off the heels of a successful 25th silver anniversary season at Harrah’s Hoosier Park, we are busy preparing and anxiously awaiting the 2019 live harness racing season,” Harrah’s Hoosier Park’s Vice President and General Manager of Racing Rick Moore noted. “We remain committed to the highest quality of racing and look forward to welcoming the fans and horsemen back to Hoosier Park in March.”
