Despite the two favourites finishing first and third in Tuesday night’s fourth race, the pentafecta wager went unscathed, leaving a healthy $5,097 carryover into Saturday (Dec. 5) night’s fourth race.
The carryover likely being the result of longshot Cevina De Chakrika, for trainer/driver Melanie Plourde, splitting the two favourites at true odds of over 200-1.
The pentafecta is a brand new wager for the 2015-16 season at the Isle Casino Pompano Park, featured in the fourth race of each and every program. Fans must select the top five finishers in order, with the wager carrying a 20-cent minimum.
Live racing continues at the Isle Casino Pompano Park on a four-night per week schedule, with a first post of 7:30 p.m. every Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday evening. Wednesday night’s will be added to the current schedule beginning December 23.
