The United States Harness Writers Association will present a live-stream announcement of the 2018 Dan Patch Awards’ divisional horse winners for both genders and gaits in conjunction with the United States Trotting Association over a two-day period in mid-December.
The trotters will be revealed on Wednesday, December 19 and the pacers will be unveiled on Thursday, December 20. The live-stream broadcasts will begin at noon on both days and will be carried on both the USHWA and USTA Facebook pages.
The USTA’s social media and public relations coordinator, Michael Carter, will host the programs.
Balloting for the equine divisional honours will begin early this week.
The announcement of the Trotter, Pacer and Horse of the Year will once again be made at the conclusion of the 2019 Dan Patch Awards Banquet, which will be held at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, Florida on Sunday, February 24, 2019 (there will be no advance announcement of these three winners).
