The Raceway at Western Fair District was forced to cut its Boxing Day card of harness racing short due to deteriorating track conditions caused by mild temperatures and rain showers.
Following the first five races, track officials and horsemen determined the conditions were unsafe to carry on and complete the 11-race card.
The $12,700 Alliance Claiming Series Final for $6,500 claiming filly and mare pacers was scheduled as race 11 and will now be raced as part of this Friday night’s program.
Live harness racing is scheduled to resume tomorrow at 6:15 p.m.
