The live harness racing cards scheduled for Friday (Dec. 23) at Woodbine Mohawk Park and The Raceway at the Western Fair District have been cancelled due to the ongoing winter storm.
Woodbine Entertainment has announced tonight's card of live racing at Woodbine Mohawk Park has been cancelled due to the winter storm in the best interest of safety for all participants and staff. The Jackpot Hi-5 mandatory payout that was to be offered on tonight's card will now be moved to Monday's (Dec. 26) Boxing Day matinee program (Race 12). The carryover for the Jackpot Hi-5 mandatory payout is $336,533.29.
Woodbine Mohawk Park is closed on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Post time for Monday's Boxing Day matinee is 1 p.m.
Live racing at The Raceway at the Western Fair District is scheduled to return on Monday (Dec. 26) for a 12-race matinee race card, with a first post time of 12:55 p.m.
The winter storm has prompted a number of cancellations stateside, with First Tracks Cumberland, Hollywood Dayton, Northfield Park and The Meadows all abandoning live racing slated for Friday. Cumberland has also moved its Saturday card to Monday.
