Those looking for talented, money-making racehorses and high-quality breeding stock for the new year can now download the catalogue and past performances for the Tattersalls Winter Mixed Sale, to be held Monday, January 20 at the Meadowlands.
Both the catalogue and racelines booklet are available on the sales company’s website, tattersallsredmile.com, and on the Equineline Sales Catalog app.
Sale manager David Reid said the coming year’s sale is as high on quality as it’s ever been, and that impressive offerings can be found across all sections — broodmares, stallion shares and racehorses.
The rock-solid roster of outstanding racehorses is led by $650,000-winning, Free For All trotter Lindy The Great 1:51.1, O’Brien Award finalist and winner of the $230,000 Caesar’s at Hoosier Park, and the soon-to-be four-year-old Escapetothebeach p,3,1:50.1f ($289,571), a stakes winner capable of competing at the top level anywhere.
Mares being sold as both racing and broodmare prospects include the well-bred, multiple stakes winning trotter Jezzys Legacy and iron-tough Witch Dali, a stakes and open mares winner of $580,000 with a mark of 1:49.1.
A quartet of top ‘Captains’ are catalogued: Ahab, Trevor, McKee and Malicious, along with world champion Dr J Hanover and top Meadowlands trotters Union Forces and Trolley. Rising three-year-olds on offer feature the 2019 Sheppard Pace and Renaissance winner Columbo and the upwardly mobile Muscle Hill colt, Fromming.
Breeding stock will kick off the sale, and is highlighted by mares in foal to Muscle Hill, Captaintreacherous, Father Patrick, and the first crop of Tactical Landing. Also selling are three stallion shares in Muscle Hill, four in Captaintreacherous, and one in Father Patrick.
