The catalogue and race lines are now available for the Tattersalls Winter Mixed Sale, one that sale manager David Reid calls “compact, but powerful.”
Both can be downloaded now at tattersallsredmile.com or on the Equineline Sales Catalog app.
The annual sale, the company’s flagship auction, gets underway at The Meadowlands on Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Monday, Jan. 18) with a starting time of 12 noon.
“The overall quality of the sale is outstanding,” Reid said. “We have 120 lots catalogued and supplements yet to come. The racehorses we have are most all stakes quality or racing in conditioned events, and I urge those playing the claiming game — or looking to buy privately — to come find a horse that’s likely a better prospect than you’ll get anywhere else.”
The sale features “magnificent mares” to race or breed, 15 horses that have won three-year-old stakes races this past season, and a top selection of older horses that are currently competing in and winning high-end conditioned or open races at major tracks.
In addition to a large selection of stallion shares, there will be 12 stallion breedings for the 2021 season on offer, all donated with 100 per cent of the proceeds to benefit Standardbred aftercare.
The Winter Mixed will be an in-person sale in the paddock at The Meadowlands, with attendees following the usual guidelines. It will also be live-streamed on the Tattersalls website. “Live” online bidding will be offered through Proxibid, with sign-ups starting after the first of the year.
