Although there were three live tickets heading into the decisive fifth leg of the 50-cent Pick 5 on Sunday night at Pompano Park, Tyrone’s Showstopper (driven by Dan Clements) pulled off the 30-1 upset and put a stop to the Pick 5 in the process.
Monday night’s program will now feature a $2,945 carryover, and track officials have placed an ‘instant guarantee’ on the pool of $10,000.
The 50-cent Pick 5 is a nightly wager covering Races 2 – 6.
Track officials have also ‘stepped up’ the Pick 4 for Monday and Tuesday evening, which will feature a $7,500 guarantee.
Sunday night’s Pick 4 returned a healthy $5,286 for the 50-cent combination. The Pick 4 is a nightly wager covering Races 5 – 8, featuring a reduced takeout of only 12 per cent.
The 20-Cent Jackpot Hi-Five continues to be a popular wager among patrons, with a $6,560 carryover heading into Monday evening. The Jackpot Hi-Five is offered on the final race of each program.
Monday night will feature a fantastic 11-race card, with mares taking the spotlight in the $12,000 Open Trot and the $14,000 Open Pace.
Live racing continues at the Isle Casino Pompano Park on a five-night per week schedule, with live racing every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday evening.
