Safe Haven Farms in Ellendale, Delaware has announced that Pocono Downs track record holder Riggins p,5,1:48.3f ($879,027) will be standing his first
season at stud there in 2011.
With his 1:48.3f record and a total of three sub-1:50 wins, Riggins is the fastest stallion to stand in Delaware and the third fastest son of super sire Art Major. Riggins also showed tremendous early speed when he took a 1:54h record at age two and when he won the New York Sire Stakes Final for two-year-old pacing colts.
Riggins is out of the World Champion racemare Towners Image p,3,1:51.2 ($714,300) and provides a perfect outcross for Western Hanover and Artsplace mares.
Riggins’ 2011 stud fee has been set at an introductory price of $3,000, with multiple mare discounts available.
