The snowstorm hitting the eastern U.S. has prompted a spate of racing cancellations

Freehold Raceway canceled live racing and simulcasting on Saturday, December 19 due to the storm that's expected to leave over a foot of snow on the region. Freehold is scheduled to reopen for simulcasting on Sunday. Live harness racing will resume on Saturday, December 26. First race post time is set for 12:30pm.
Yonkers Raceway has canceled both live racing and simulcasting for Saturday night, Dec. 19.
The final two live 2009 programs are scheduled for Monday and Tuesday nights, with the 2010 season beginning Friday night,. Jan 8. First post for all racing programs is 7:10 PM. Please note that afternoon simulcasting returns next Saturday, Dec. 26.
Dover Downs has also canceled its Saturday program. There is no live racing at Dover Downs until Saturday, Dec. 26 as the track and horsemen observe the annual Christmas week break.
