Due to heavy overnight rains which are continuing into Friday, the Friday evening, December 18 program has been cancelled at The Isle Pompano Park
.
Overnight, a flash flood carrying up to eight inches of rain was reported nearby in sections of Ft. Lauderdale and Miami.
Many local roadways are closed. At 11 a.m. Friday, the National Weather Service issued another flood warning for a wide area of South Florida, including the city of Pompano Beach, with one to three inches of additional rain expected this afternoon.
Harness racing is scheduled to resume at The Isle Pompano Park on Saturday evening, December 19 with the double program post times of 7:05 p.m. and 9:45 p.m.
