Running Aces Casino, Hotel & Racetrack has announced that race dates for the 2023 meet, the 16th in the track's history, have been approved by the Minnesota Racing Commission.
The live harness racing season will get underway on Sunday, May 14 and will conclude on Saturday, Sept. 16, with a total of 55 nights of racing on tap.
The racing schedule will be similar to last season featuring Tuesday-Thursday-Sunday nights of live racing programs with a few exceptions. There will be a special Monday night card scheduled for July 3 while the track will be dark the following evening on Independence Day (July 4). During the closing week of the meet, Running Aces will be dark on Thursday, Sept. 14 and there will be special Friday and Saturday, Sept. 15 and 16 cards to conclude the meet with Minnesota Night of Champions festivities. Post time for all 55 nights will be 7 p.m. (CDT).
Running Aces Casino, Hotel & Racetrack plans to begin accepting stall applications in mid-January for the 2023 race meet. Purse levels are projected to exceed the record total amount distributed during the 2022 meet of more than $6.1 million.
The stable area is scheduled to open on Sunday, April 30 with the first pre-season qualifying session scheduled for Tuesday, May 4 over the Columbus, Minnesota five-eighths mile oval.
