Betty Jean Goveia, of Deland, Fla., passed at her home Nov. 21, 2020, at her home. She was 82.
Goveia was born April 16, 1938 in Medina, N.Y., to the late Albert and Florence (Geiger) Johnson. Shespent a lot of time in her younger years around horses and even racing them at Batavia Downs. She loved going to flea markets, craft shows, doing crafts herself and her dogs.
In addition to her parents, Goveia was predeceased by her husband, George Goveia, and her sister, Marie Young. She is survived by several nephews, friends and many acquaintances.
Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
