There was no movement in the top 10 in this week’s Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll released Tuesday (Nov. 9). Therefore, Test Of Faith is the number one ranked horse for the second straight week.
In fact, the only horse in the top 10 that raced in the previous week was number eight ranked Venerable, who won the Matron Stakes for two-year-old filly trotters at Dover Downs.
The Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll does not determine Horse of the Year. The members of the U.S. Harness Writers Association vote on all Dan Patch Award division winners plus Trotter of the Year, Pacer of the Year and Horse of the Year.
The final poll will be November 30 following the completion of the Grand Circuit season.

The Matrons, on Thurs, are the last major stakes races of the year for 3yopf's, 3yotf's, and 3yotc's. (3yopc's still have The Progress Pace, on Nov. 24) Since Jujubee, #2 in the poll, isn't entered in The Matron, his racing season is over. Test of Faith has such a stranglehold on #1 in the poll that as long as she simply finishes in the money in her Matron event, that should be enough to wrap up US HOTY honors for 2021. That shouldn't be difficult, because she has never finished worse than 2nd in a race in her life.
