This year Veterans Day falls on Friday, November 11. But when you do the numbers it turns out to be 11/11/11 -- a once in a millennium thing. On this coming Veterans Day, Monticello Casino and Raceway has a few devices to make that day a little extra special
and one of the main attractions will be that veterans of any branch the Armed Services will be able to eat free of charge in the Casino’s Winners Circle Buffet. The only thing required of them is to show their Military ID.
But there’s more on 11/11/11. From 11 a.m. through 11 p.m. this coming Friday, every hour on the hour, the Casino will be giving away $1,111 cash to lucky patrons via hot seat drawings. And that day only, the price of a meal in the Winners Circle Buffet will cost just $11.11.
“It is certainly our pleasure to do something special for our veterans,” noted Jacqueline Pinner, the Casino’s Marketing Director. “And since 11/11/11 won’t happen again for a 1,000 years why not incorporate those numbers into some fun promos, too.”
