Diamond Creek has announced its 2024 stallion roster along with the stud fees for those horses.
Three new stallions join the Diamond Creek roster for 2024: Cannibal, Confederate and Tactical Approach. Filling out the roster are pacing stallions Always B Miki, Bettors Wish, Captain Crunch, Downbytheseaside, Pebble Beach and Sweet Lou, and trotting stallions Gimpanzee, Father Patrick, Creatine and Marseille.
Sweet Lou is having a banner year in the two-year-old pacing filly and three-year-old pacing colt divisions while continuing to produce successful aged horses. Sweet Lou is currently No. 2 for North American stallion earnings for all aged pacers with his offspring amassing $17,720,759, No. 3 in earnings for two-year-old pacers and No. 1 in earnings for three-year-old pacers.
Downbytheseaside continues his rise and is well represented by four-year-old superstar Bythemissal (1:47.1, $2,084,884). Downbytheseaside is currently ranked No. 3 in earnings for three-year-old pacers.
Captain Crunch, a Breeders Crown winner himself, had a first-crop Breeders Crown winner with two-year-old colt sensation Gem Quality (1:50, $442,710), trained by Chris Ryder.
From a small first crop that he bred while racing, Bettors Wish had a top two-year-old in Tony Alagna trainee Better Is Nice (1:50.3, $510,120), winner of the New Jersey Sire Stakes final, the Kentucky Sire Stakes Championship Series final, a division of Bluegrass Series and his Breeders Crown elimination. Bettors Wish is currently No. 1 in average earnings for two-year-old pacers (for stallions with a minimum 15 registered foals).
Father Patrick had a Hambletonian Oaks winner in Heaven Hanover (1:50.3, $544,321).
Always B Miki sired his seventh Breeders Crown winner in Sylvia Hanover (1:48.1, $1,742,675).
Creatine progeny won three finals on Ohio Sire Stakes Super Finals night while Marseille's first crop of yearlings was well received at the sales.
