The Midwest Auction Company is pleased to announce that entries for the 2019 Midwest Mixed Sale, to be held November 29 in Shipshewana, Indiana are now online.
Entries may be viewed at midwestauctionco.com. Catalogues are planned to be mailed later this week.
The sale will once again take place at the Michiana Event Center and will start at 11 a.m. on the Friday after U.S. Thanksgiving.
This year’s edition features an especially strong group of in-foal broodmares, highlighted by the complete dispersal of all Cornerstone Stock Farm breeding stock. Entries in that 15-horse dispersal include Skippin By p,1:49.4f $882,254, carrying her first, a Downbytheseaside, Novascotia Hanover p,3,1:51.1f $512,486 in foal to Always A Virgin, Shaky Hanover p,1:51.2f $508,189 in foal to Always A Virgin, Andis Alana 3,1:55 $528,749 in foal to Muscle Massive, Riley Character p,1:51.4f carrying a Yankee Cruiser full sibling to Baron Remy p,1:50.3h $561,607, as well as weanlings by What The Hill, Uncle Peter and Rockin Image. The broodmare section of the sale also features a full sister to Bettors Wish p,3,1:47.4 $1,561,000 carrying her first foal, a Stay Hungry.
The racehorse entries feature many lightly-raced two-year-olds, including the talented Indiana-sired freshman Dude Included 2,1:57.2 $94,360, as well as a nice group of three-year-olds fitting many conditions, again featuring reduction consignments from Jack Myers Racing and the LeWayne Miller Stable.
The Midwest benefit dinner and fundraiser will be held immediately after the auction on Friday evening and will feature breedings to many stallions. The Michiana Classic Yearling Sale will be held on Saturday.
