With a carry-over in excess of $6,800, Hoosier Park has announced a $20,000 guaranteed Pick-5 pool for Friday, November 6.
In partnership with the Unites States Trotting Association Strategic Wagering program and the Indiana Standardbred Association, Hoosier Park will offer this signature wager for the 13-race card on Friday that will start at an adjusted post time of 4:00 p.m.
A 48-1 long-shot winner in Thursday’s Pick-5 sequence at Hoosier Park sparked a carryover of $6,866.24 and will kick-start the Pick-5 pool for Friday.
The Pick-5, which offers a 50-cent minimum wager, will begin in the ninth race of the evening and continue through the thirteenth race of the program. Approximate post time for the first leg of the wager with the adjusted post time, the ninth race, is 6:20 p.m.
Friday’s 13-race card will be highlighted by two $15,000 divisions of The Peony late closing series for pacing fillies and mares. A field of eight will go to post in the $21,000 Open pace which is slated as the eleventh race on the program.
At the conclusion of the evening’s live racing card, Micky Dolenz will perform a free concert in Hoosier Park’s Terrace Showroom. Seating will be on a first come, first serve basis and the Terrace Showroom is 18 & over.
Live racing at Hoosier Park will follow a Tuesday-Saturday schedule, with a daily post time of 5:45 p.m. The 160-day, all harness racing meet will be conducted through November 14.
