The Ontario Racing Commission has released it rulings on appeals and matters relating to Luc Ouellette, Richard Webb, Robert Shepherd and Phil Hudon.
In regard to the appeal of Ouellette, he ultimately withdrew his appeal. His appeal had to do with a starting gate infraction at Mohawk Racetrack this past fall. The ORC Panel hearing the appeal allowed the appeal, but the original $200 fine stood. To view an official copy of the ruling, click here.
Webb's appeal was in regard to a three-day driving suspension the ORC handed to him for causing interference with a horse during an August race at Kawartha Downs. The ORC denied his appeal. To view an official copy of the ruling, click here.
Shepherd's appeal was in regard to an incident at Flamboro Downs in August when he left a welt on a horse he was driving. The ORC Panel hearing the appeal ruled that Shepherd's fine and suspension over the matter be increased to $500 and 12 days, respectively. To view an official copy of the ruling, click here.
In regard to Hudon, his case had to do with his application for reinstatement. The ORC ruled that Hudon will be reinstated upon after satisfying a battery of conditions. To view an official copy of the ruling, click here.
