Two racing worlds will meld on Saturday (November 5) as the trotting capital of western New York, Batavia Downs, will host a throng of Thoroughbred fans at its annual Breeders’ Cup party, which will be held in the clubhouse.
The doors will open at 2 p.m. and the party will run until after the last Breeders’ Cup Race. Post time for the first Breeders’ Cup race is 3:05 p.m. Live harness racing will be comingled between the Breeders’ Cup races and the first live harness post time is 3:30 p.m. Approximately two live harness races will be run between each televised Breeders’ Cup race.
The $20 package deal includes a special Italian buffet (served from 3-7 p.m.) that includes chicken parmesan, chicken piccata, greens and beans, eggplant parmesan, beef tips in burgundy sauce, Italian sausage with peppers and onions, baked ziti, tossed salad, a dessert bar and coffee or soda. It also includes a Breeders’ Cup program, a live Batavia Downs program (which contains $5 in free-play) and $10 in free-play on the gaming floor (you must earn one base point to redeem).
This is a $37 value. Must be 18-years-old to play video gaming machines or to wager on horses.
