Officials with the Isle Casino Pompano Park have announced that there is a carryover and guaranteed pool for the track’s Pentafecta wager for tonight’s card of live racing (Tuesday, November 3) that will kick off at 7:30 p.m.
The Pentafecta, which is offered on Pompano’s fourth race during the card, is a brand new wager for the 2015-16 racing season at the track.
The Pentafecta has been growing in popularity with each racing program. The wager offers a 20-cent minimum, and fans must select the top five finishers in order. Unlike the Jackpot Hi-Five, the entire Pentafecta net pool is paid out on a nightly basis, regardless of the number of winning tickets. However, in the event there are no winning tickets, the entire net pool will carry over to the fourth race of the following live racing program.
The Pentafecta went uncovered on Sunday night, thus leaving a $2,192 carryover into Tuesday night’s fourth race. Track officials have added a $7,500 guaranteed pool to Tuesday night’s Pentafecta.
Live racing at Pompano has now moved to a three-night per-week schedule, with first-race post time at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday evenings.
