Nominations close this Monday, Dec. 2 for Woodbine Mohawk Park’s annual set of winter series.
The set of winter series consist of the Niagara, Valedictory, Blizzard and Snowshoe. All events have two preliminary legs and a $30,000 added-money final.
The Niagara and Valedictory begin in early December and wrap up on Boxing Day (Dec. 26), while the Blizzard and Snowshoe will take place in January.
The nomination fee for each series is $200.
The conditions and dates for each series are listed below:
- Niagara Series - Three-year-old pacing fillies in 2024. Non-winners of $60,000 lifetime as of Oct. 31, 2024.
- Leg 1: Friday, Dec. 6, 2024 ($17,000 each division)
- Leg 2: Friday, Dec. 13, 2024 ($17,000 each division)
- Final: Thursday, Dec. 26, 2024 ($30,000 added)
- Valedictory Series - Three-year-old pacing colts and geldings in 2024. Non-winners of $60,000 lifetime as of Oct. 31, 2024.
- Leg 1: Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024 ($17,000 each division)
- Leg 2: Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024 ($17,000 each division)
- Final: Thursday, Dec. 26, 2024 ($30,000 added)
- Blizzard Series - Three and four-year-old pacing fillies and mares in 2025. Non-winners of two races or $30,000 lifetime as of Oct. 31, 2024.
- Leg 1: Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025 ($18,000 each division)
- Leg 2: Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025 ($18,000 each division)
- Final: Friday, Jan. 31, 2025 ($30,000 added)
- Snowshoe Series - Three and four-year-old pacing colts, horses and geldings in 2025. Non-winners of two races or $30,000 lifetime as of Oct. 31, 2024.
- Leg 1: Friday, Jan. 17, 2025 ($18,000 each division)
- Leg 2: Friday, Jan. 24, 2025 ($18,000 each division)
- Final: Friday, Jan. 31, 2025 ($30,000 added)
