Reminder: Nominations Due For Mohawk Winter Series

Nominations to Woodbine Mohawk Park’s annual winter series close on Dec. 1, 2023.

The Niagara and Valedictory pacing series will both take place in December, concluding on the annual Boxing Day matinee program. The Blizzard and Snowshoe pacing series will both begin in late-January and wrap up in February.

All four series consist of two preliminary legs (purse $18,000) and a $30,000 added money final. The nomination fee for each event is $200.

The conditions and dates for each series are listed below.

  • Niagara Pacing Series - Three-year-old pacing fillies in 2023. Non-winners of $60,000 lifetime as of midnight Oct. 31, 2023.
    • Leg 1: Friday, Dec. 8, 2023
    • ​Leg 2: Friday, Dec. 15, 2023
    • ​Final: Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2023
  • Valedictory Pacing Series - Three-year-old pacing colts and geldings in 2023. Non-winners of $60,000 lifetime as of midnight Oct. 31, 2023.
    • Leg 1: Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023
    • ​Leg 2: Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023
    • ​Final: Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2023
  • Blizzard Pacing Series - Three and four-year-old pacing fillies and mares in 2024. Non-winners of two races or $30,000 lifetime as of midnight Oct. 31, 2023.
    • Leg 1: Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024
    • ​Leg 2: Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024
    • ​Final: Friday, Feb. 9, 2024
  • Snowshoe Pacing Series - Three and four-year-old pacing colts, horses and geldings in 2024. Non-winners of two races or $30,000 lifetime as of midnight Oct. 31, 2023.
    • Leg 1: Friday, Jan. 26, 2024
    • ​Leg 2: Friday, Feb. 2, 2024
    • ​Final: Friday, Feb. 9, 2024
