SC Director Voting Closes Today At 11:00 AM

Standardbred Canada has some important reminders about voting for the 2020-2022 Standardbred Canada Election of Directors and proposed By-Law #1 and By-Law #2 Amendments. Voting closes today (Thursday, December 12, 2019) at 11:00 a.m. (ET).

If you are a Standardbred Canada member, eligible to vote and as of today, have not received your ballot either by mail or via an email from Simply Voting, please read on.

1. For SC members who have access to vote online:

If SC has your email address on file and you have NOT received an email from Simply Voting that was sent out on November 7 with instructions, (subject line: Important Voting Information) please do one of the following:

  • Check your Spam mailbox folder

  • Add [email protected] as a safe sender if you haven't already

  • If you cannot locate the Simply Voting email, please contact the Corporate Secretary at [email protected] or (905) 858-3060 x 258. Please ensure you include your full name and your SC membership number in any correspondence.

The electronic voting process is very simple and can be done on your computer or mobile device. Please be assured that the election website is secure and your vote(s) will remain completely anonymous.

2. For those with no access to vote online:

If you do not have access to vote electronically and require a paper ballot to be mailed to you, please phone us or send your request in writing via email or mail immediately:

Please ensure your full name and your SC membership number are included in any correspondence. If a paper ballot is mailed, the option of electronically voting will be disabled.

To vote in the election, you must be at least 17 years of age on January 1, 2019, a Canadian resident and a Standardbred Canada member in good standing on October 17 (eight weeks prior to election day when the voting roster was finalized) and on December 12, 2019 (election day).
