Horsepeople that are racing at Batavia Downs are advised that due to a winter storm that closed several roads in Genesee County, including the New York State Thruway, Tuesday’s draw for Friday has been pushed back until Wednesday (November 19).
A double-draw for Friday and Saturday (November 21 and 22) shall be conducted Wednesday, with the entry box closing at 9 a.m. for both days. Driver changes are due for Friday immediately after entries come out. Driver changes for Saturday are due at their normal time.
Qualifiers normally held on Wednesday have been cancelled until next Wednesday (November 26).
Weather permitting, live racing at America’s oldest lighted harness track is scheduled to resume Wednesday night. First-race post time is 6:35 p.m. The racetrack received 10 inches of snow Monday night and heavy snow is forecast for most of the day on Tuesday.
