The Woodbine Entertainment Group and Alliance has announced details regarding a group of winter series to be contested in the month of December at Flamboro Downs and The Raceway at Western Fair District.
The Alliance Holiday Claiming Series will have six categories with three events at Flamboro and three events at Western Fair.
Each series will have two preliminaries legs and an added-money final.
The conditions for each series are as follows.
Event A: Trot, Claiming $12,500 for Non-Winners of $50,000 (FM $62,500) lifetime as of midnight December 1, 2016
Event B: Pace, Horses & Geldings, Claiming $6,500
Event C: Pace, Horses & Geldings, Claiming $12,500 for Non-Winners of $30,000 lifetime as of midnight December 1, 2016
Event D: Pace, Fillies & Mares, Claiming $6,500
Event E: Pace, Fillies & Mares, Claiming $12,500 for Non-Winners of $30,000 lifetime as of midnight December 1, 2016
Event F: Trot, Claiming $7,500
(Note: Events A,B,C will be raced at Flamboro and Events D,E,F will be raced at Western Fair)
The nomination fee for each series is $100 CAD ($75 USD) and nominations are due Thursday, December 1.
Payments to the Alliance Holiday Claiming Series will be accepted at the Flamboro, Western Fair, Clinton and Woodbine race offices. Payments can also be made online at www.woodbineentertainment.com/sbpayments.
