The Woodbine Entertainment Group today announced a change to its Mohawk Racetrack qualifying schedule for the winter months

Mohawk will be reducing its qualifying schedule from two days per week to one, effective Thursday, November 26. The schedule will continue until the end of March.
During that time, qualifying races will be held on Thursdays and the first race will head behind the starting gate at 10:00 a.m. In the event of a winter storm cancellation, Friday will serve as a back-up day.
This change is a result of discussions with the Central Ontario Standardbred Association, suggesting fewer horses qualify during the winter and one day a week will adequately service the demand. Numbers will be monitored and the two-day-a-week schedule resumed should there be a need before the end of March, 2010.
The qualifying schedule for the balance of November appears below.
• Friday, November 20 at 10:00 am
• Thursday, November 26 at 10:00 a.m.
