The apprentice will take on the master in the Preferred Pace at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park on Sunday afternoon (Nov. 15).

The action kicks off at 12:30 p.m. with 13 dashes on tap.

In the afternoon's featured event, the $2,900 Preferred Pace, The Rev is the morning line choice from Post 4. Gilles Barrieau trains and drives the Jeff Skinner-owned pacer, the richest Atlantic bred horse of all-time, as the 10-year-old son of Western Paradise will look to expand on his $618,000 in career earnings.

Cowboy Logic has been exceptional in his short career with 11 wins from 25 starts but will have to earn an additional $598,000 to catch his Sunday rival. Steven Shepherd drives Cowboy Logic for trainer and co-owner Harold Shepherd and Island co-owners Maurice McCabe, Gerard Ellsworth and Angus Birt. Screen Test disposed of the top class last Saturday in Charlottetown but will have to overcome the outside Post 5 on Sunday with Corey MacPherson above the wheels.

The Post Time Picks in Sunday’s card have Cowboy Logic lined up to upset his top class opponents. “Cowboy Logic has yet to knock off this class but now with a decent draw and short field his rallying style should make him a huge threat. His foes are no slouches but this sophomore could pull it all off.”

Completing the Preferred field are Adkins Hanover (Ambyr Campbell) and Revenant (Adam Merner).

Woodmere Skyroller powers forward in her three-year-old season as the top choice in the $2,750 Fillies & Mares Open Pace in the sixth race of the day. David Dowling will handle the champion daughter of Rollwithitharry for trainer Kevin MacLean and owner Reg MacPherson of Stratford. Past Atlantic champion Filly Forty Seven (Marc Campbell) looms a large threat from Post 5 while fellow sophomore Temagami Seelster (Kenny Arsenault) has Post 3 while looking for win number eight of the year.
