The stud fee for Walner for the 2025 season has been set at a new price.
Preferred Equine Marketing’s David Reid, syndicate manager for world champion Walner, announced on Friday that the stallion's 2025 service fee will increase from $40,000 USD to $50,000 USD.
Already the sire of eight millionaires from his first three crops to race, Walner’s offspring continued to shine in 2024, including International Trot winner Jiggy Jog S ($3,572,408), Breeders Crown Open Trot winner Winners Bet ($1,713,147), Hambletonian Oaks winner Warrawee Michelle ($1,119,670) and Canadian Trotting Classic winner Amazing Catch ($1,148,185).
The leading all-aged trotting sire in 2023 and currently the second all-aged trotting sire for 2024 with just 370 registered foals, Walner’s yearlings averaged more than $235,000 at last month’s Lexington Selected Yearling Sale, including the highest priced trotting filly ever to be sold, Rani Hanover, selling for $1.25 million to Ken Jacobs.
Walner stands at Southwind Farms in Pennington, New Jersey. For more information, contact David Reid at 914-773-7777 or [email protected].
