COSA Medical Deadline Approaches

Published: October 8, 2009 02:09 pm EDT

Bill O’Donnell, President of the Central Ontario Standardbred Association (COSA), would like to remind all horse people regarding the medical and dental insurance

currently offered.

If you are a current COSA member, or considering joining, and are presently covered under an Insurance Plan of another organization, there will be no interruption to benefits. Members obtaining benefits for the first time, through COSA, will incur a one-month wait for dental benefits.

After October 31, 2009 any new members of COSA will be required to complete a medical questionnaire and are subject to approval before coverage commences. If you require any further information please contact the COSA office at 905-854-2672.

COSA will continue to subsidize 100 per cent of premiums for eligible grooms.

As an added incentive to eligible grooms, COSA will cover up to $200 over a 24 month period for eyewear.

COSA membership is free and membership cards will be sent out in the mail shortly.
