The response from horsemen to the new Hollywood Dayton Raceway has been overwhelming, so much so that track management petitioned the Ohio State Racing Commission and has been granted permission to start their five-nights-a-week live racing schedule one week sooner than originally planned.
The additional program has been slated for next Monday, October 13 with the regular 6:35 p.m. post time. Condition sheets for the added card are available on at www.hollywooddaytonracing.com.
In order to accommodate an abundance of horses attempting to qualify, additional qualifying opportunities have been added as well. Two qualifying races will be slated Friday (10/10), Monday (10/13), Wednesday (10/15) and Thursday (10/16—if necessary).
Trainers are asked to use the USTA’s Online Entry platform whenever possible. When calling entries in by phone (937-235-7860), the race office opens at noon and takes calls until the box closes at 2 p.m. Judges (937-235-7862) are available for driver’s changes and scratches from noon to 2 p.m. the next live racing day after each draw day.
