Officials with Hoofbid have announced that the October 16 yearling sale lineup can now be found in the app along with times the yearling will spend in the 'virtual ring.'
The sale will begin at 10 a.m. Eastern Time. Each auction lasts 60 minutes. A new horse enters the virtual ring every 15 minutes.
The focus of the October 16 yearling sale is Ontario-bred horses (in fact, all but one yearling is Ontario-bred). Princeton Farms is the lead consignor with 11 horses being offered. Payment from the winning bidder will go directly to the consignor. Therefore, these auctions will be conducted in Canadian dollars.
Entries will be accepted until Tuesday, October 13 th for the auction.
Bidder verification will be required. To ensure the integrity of our auctions, HoofBid has implemented new bidder verification protocols. To be verified, users must provide their USTA or Standardbred Canada membership number, address and have a valid credit card on file prior to bidding in the sale.
All auctions are open ended, which means that if a bid is placed within one (1) minute of the closing time of the auction, we will automatically return the clock to one (1) minute remaining on the auction. The auction is over if no bids have been placed with one (1) minute or less on the bid clock. This feature allows all bidders a fair chance to counter a late bid.
