Breeders Crown Set To Air In HD

Harness racing fans have extra incentive to tune into the Breeders Crown Saturday, October 9 on MavTV because it will be broadcast in full high definition

.

“If any harness racing event deserves the full HD treatment, it’s (the) Breeders Crown,” said Bruce Casella, the show’s Emmy® award winning producer. “We’re going the extra mile to make sure that fans at home get to see it in all its glory.”

The two-hour show will start at 9:00 p.m. eastern time. It will be re-broadcast on Sunday, October 10 and Thursday, October 14 at 12:00 noon and 5:00 p.m.

In addition, a half-hour Breeders Crown preview special will air on Wednesday, October 6 at 7:30
p.m. and 1:30 a.m., Thursday, October 7 at 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., and Saturday, October 9 at 8:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. prior to the Breeders Crown live show at 9:00 p.m.

Award winning sports broadcaster Lou Tilley will host alongside racing veterans Steve Ross and
Heather Moffett. Western Fair Raceway’s new announcer, Greg Blanchard, formerly of the Woodbine Entertainment Group, will serve as race analyst and Jennifer Sherlock will handle general reporting.

“MavTV is one of the pioneers in high definition broadcasting with a full slate of HD programming 24 hours a day,” said Pennsylvania Harness Horsemen’s Association Marketing Director Ed Kobesky. “They’ve been an enthusiastic partner in bringing (the) Breeders Crown into households nationwide.”
