Brittany Farms Stallion Management announced today that the 2010 book for Glidemaster is full and closed. This follows the Lexington Select Yearling Sale whe

re Glidemaster was the sire of the highest price yearling, Ultimo Dolce, with a final hammer bid of $270,000. He also topped the sale with an average price of $64,429.

“We had a tremendous number of requests from breeders during the sale and most of the shareholders expressed the desire to breed an extra mare or two this year," said syndicate manager Art Zubrod. "We have to take care of our shareholders so there weren’t many outside bookings available."

Zubrod also said that, “it was no secret that Glidemaster started off slow in his first year resulting in only 49 registered foals. He should have around 70 in his second crop and this year he tallied 82 pregnancies from 97 mares bred.”

Brittany Farms Stallion Management would like to thank everyone for the overwhelming response to the Triple Crown winner.
